| Small Bird Bathtub |
Small Bird Bathtub This small bird bathtub is what I use for my birds; they are easy to use & clean, and don't cost a fortune. Each is 5.25 inches square and tall, and will hang on almost any kind of cage. At only $4.69 each, a great deal! |
Olympic Rings with Bell This simple toy is popular with all small hookbills, and some canaries and finches. For only $1.69 each, why not see if your bird likes them too? |
|
| Bell Chain (2 in) | Bell Chain (2 inches long)Birds seem to have a thing about ringing bells. This one is safe, and the perfect size for all small hookbills, and birds such as canaries. Only $2.29 each. |
| Bell Chain | Bell Chain (2.75 inches long)For those birds who like a little more of everything, a larger bell on a slightly longer chain. You get the same bird-safe quality as the smaller bell-chain, for only $3.09 each. |
| Swings | Swings for smaller birdsEvery bird should have a swing! Swings encourage the kind of play that helps to see that your bird's leg muscles remain in good shape, by giving him the same kind of exercise he would get clinging to moving branches in a tree. These two sizes of this type of swing are perfect for canaries, finches, or budgies, and are a great price, too; the 4 inch high swings cost only $.99 apiece, while the larger 8 inch high swings (great in a flight cage) cost only $1.50 each. |
| Meta Veg Pin | Meta Fruit Pin with Ball, 11 inches long I love these handy little tools. Make healthy food mean playtime for your bird, by skewering veggies to hang in his cage. Only $4.69 each!

| 8001 - Fountain Food/Water Cup |
Fountain Feeder or Waterer, 6 inches long We like these cage accessories as seed or pellet dishes, but they can be used for water too, and make easy to use and clean feeder or drinkers - just use a good bottle brush. At only $1.69 each you can keep several around, so you can always have a clean replacement on hand when you need one. |
| 8002 - Fountain Food/Water Cup |
Fountain Food or Water cup, 6.6 inches longThis fountain feeder or drinker has a slightly larger circumferance as well as being longer than the 8001, making it possible to hold a larger amount of food or water for your bird. As he eats or drinks, gravity delivers fresh, as long as the resevoir has some. At $2.19 each, a useful and handy cage accessory! |
| 8003 - Jumbo Food/Water Cup |
Jumbo Food or Water cup, 6 inches longThis large fountain feeder holds a good supply of seed or pellets, and can also be useful for water, although we don't recommend you go more than a day without cleaning any drinker. The small delivery cup minimizes the amount of foreign matter that can get into the supplies, making this a useful and low-maintenance dish for only $3.99 each. |
| 8004 - Jumbo Food/Water Cup |
Jumbo Food or Water cup, 6 inches longThis jumbo fountain food or water cup has a larger access dish with a perch in front of it, and may be preferred by some birds, particularly elderly avian citizens who no longer get around quite so well, larger softbills, or small to medium hookbills. It holds the same generous amounts as the 8003, for the same great price of $3.99. |
| 8021 - A Pair of Coop Cups |
2 Coop Cups, 3 inches by 3.375 inches wideThese cups can be used almost anywhere, are easy for both your bird and you to use, and are durable and easy to clean, too. It is rare to find a bird-owner who doesn't keep a good supply of these handy medium-sized utility cups on hand, and at only $3.19 for two, why not? |
| 8031 - High Back Coop Cup |
High Back Coop Cup, 2.75 inches tallThese are the utility cups I wouldn't be without plenty of. They are deep enough to make it difficult to fling seed about, making them particularly handy for those birds who enjoy scattering their supplies everywhere. Sometimes this can mean stale food, but sometimes it's just a game, and these feed dishes, only $1.19 each, can help to control it. |
| 8035 - Oblong Bird Cup |
Oblong Bird Cup, 5.25 inches wideThis is a wider, shallow dish that comes in handy when serving small amounts of treats or soft foods, and is particularly good to use when weaning youngsters. I've even used a cup like this, on occasion, as a finch bath! It comes with its own perch, and its rounded edges make it easy to keep scrupulously clean. Only $3.89 each. |
| 8036 - Oblong Bird Cup (Divided) |
Oblong Bird Cup (Divided), 5.25 inches wideThis divided cup is useful when you wish to offer small amounts of more than one treat or soft foods. It can be hung almost anywhere in the cage, and is particularly useful during breeding season for offering the extra supplements and supplies needed then. It is durable and sturdy, should last for years, and costs only $4.59 each. |
| 8201 - Plastic Bird Nest |
Plastic Bird Nest , 4 inches wideThese nests are a good size for the smaller, more commonly seen breeds of canaries, and are sturdy, stable, easy to place and remove, and easy to clean. These open nestpans cost only $1.39 each, and should be used with a nestliner such as the one at www.robirda.com/nestliner.html. |
| 8233 - Bamboo Canary Nest |
Bamboo Canary Nest, 5 inches wideThese natural-looking open nestpans are slightly larger and may provide more room for some canaries, but can be less stable, and are less easy to place firmly and still keep easy to remove. They should be used with a nestliner, but are not washable and should be discarded at season's end. At only $1.79 each, these nestpans are a useful nesting alternative. |
| 8223 - Bamboo Finch Nest |
Bamboo Finch Nest, 5.5 inches wide & tallFinches can be picky about where they choose to nest, but this type of closed nest is accepted by a great variety of finch species. Offer long dried grasses (not too much!) while they build up the nest foundation inside, and then offer a little nesting material (see below) to finish. Replace rather than reusing, once its been used for breeding; easily done, when your cost is only $3.59 each. |
| 8215 - Nesting Material |
Nesting Material, 7 gram pkg This package of nesting material bulks more than you would think, and provides that final soft white lining to the inside of the nest. Many use shredded burlap as nesting material, but some hens will not use it for the final lining, and instead pull feathers from themselves or their mates. This safe, sterile nesting material is highly acceptable, and saves a lot of work for the breeder. $1.89 per 7 gr package.

| Bird Nets |
Bird Nets, varying sizesHaving a net and knowing how to safely use it, can be very helpful to a serious bird-keeper - unless you prefer performing "The Great Birdie Roundup" by hand, nets can come in very handy for catching unexpected escapees! Don't try to catch an escaped bird in the air, at least not until you are completely familiar with using a net to catch your bird - just wait until he lands and then simply place the net over him. This helps prevent accidental injury, which most often happens when the rim of the net and the bird collide in midair. Here you will find a selection of various sizes of bird nets, from 6 inches in diameter by 13 inches long, for only $15.89, to a supersize model 11 inches across and 48 inches long, for only $20.99. Do you have yours yet? |
| Wooden Ladders |
Wooden Ladders, various sizesLadders can be so useful in a cage for small pet birds! You will hear some say that it is no good offering a ladder to birds who do not climb, like canaries and most finches - but there are many other ways that a ladder can be both useful and fun for these birds, too! Try hanging a larger ladder sideways by one side, with the rest of the ladder hanging downwards, so that the lower side forms a perch, with the rungs making perfect perch dividers. This is a great way to provide divided perching space for a number of smaller birds who are sharing the same cage, and can help reduce aggression. My birds also like it when I secure both ends of the ladder so as to make a high 'bridge' between two spots in the cage, and will also use ladders for perching and recreation when placed in a more traditional configuration, as well. All in all, I consider the wooden ladders I use with my bird cages to be among the more useful and adaptable of cage accessories. They come in a wide variety of sizes and prices, as you can see by our list. Why not get your bird(s) one or more, today? |
