Lunchtime Here you see Dan performing an action which is most often called 'pumping his crop' - bringing the food in his crop higher, so he can deliver it to the waiting chicks, who are just beginning to lift their heads. All this happens quite fast, and can be difficult to see properly, if you are watching them directly - sometimes cameras can give a clearer idea of proceedings!
