Overnight The chicks are now 5 and 4 days old, and, in the dawning of the new day, are very hungry indeed... everything they were stuffed with as the sun set the previous evening has gone, used up in the rapid growth their bodies made overnight. As you can see, they have both parents hopping to their tune - Dolly no longer worries about Dan's abilities - if anything, he is feeding as much as her, if not more. Can you see how skinny that little neck is? It always surprises me that it will hold that head up so well.
