First Feeding of the Day The next morning sees all the chicks alive and well, but very loud and insistent about their hunger - their bodies used up every scrap of nutrition available to them to survive the night, and they make no bones about airing their greivances. The oldest chick is beginning his fourth day of life - the others, their third.
