Welcome to the

Canary Cam Archives

Teamwork

May 8, 2000; Only two short days later, and both parents are now feeding the chicks.

For all their tiny hatching size, canaries more than double their weight every day, for at least the first week of their lives... often for 10 to 12 days.

The amount of work feeding chicks who grow at this rate is tremendous, and Dolly is beginning to encourage Dan to participate, rather than warning him off as she did just a day ago.

This site is dedicated to all of those who try to help others on our journey to a better
tomorrow, and especially to Jack Merkens, whose last words to me were "Promise
me you'll keep writing about those canaries! Never stop, ok? Promise!"
Okay, Jack. I promise.
