Welcome to the

Canary Cam Archives

Full - For A Short Time

In the afternoon of their fifth day, the Cam catches a shot of the two chicks, crops bulging, contently piled in a heap, snoozing while their bodies digest and utilize the food. Peanut, of course, is down at the feed dish, eating yet more of the soak seed and nestling food mix with which she is raising her youngsters.

Can you see how these bulging crops could look like a growth of some sort to an inexperienced eye?

This site is dedicated to all of those who try to help others on our journey to a better
tomorrow, and especially to Jack Merkens, whose last words to me were "Promise
me you'll keep writing about those canaries! Never stop, ok? Promise!"
Okay, Jack. I promise.
